The 9th-grade year is a time to meet new people, discover interests, build community, develop skills, and deepen understanding.
Academically, our freshmen journey through the history of America, study the science of life and living organisms, develop writing skills and ideas about human relationships through texts such as Romeo and Juliet and To Kill a Mockingbird, and make sense of the world by exploring mathematical ideas such as solving equations and functions.

Getting involved in high school is one of the most important steps to a positive experience. Students that are involved in extracurricular activities, whether it be athletics, fine arts, or any number of our clubs/organizations, feel a stronger sense of community and perform better in school.
Through our Advisory program and Liberty Hour support, students have access to supportive teachers for mentoring, tutoring, and more.
Freshman students will also work with Link Crew Leaders throughout the year. Link Crew Leaders are a group of Juniors and Seniors who are truly dedicated to helping all freshman transition successfully to the high school. Link Leaders will be here for you on Freshman Orientation Day and several times per month we will be in your Advisory classrooms to share some valuable lessons and just hang out! We also have some exciting social events just for you.
Liberty High School also supports students in creating a safe school environment by empowering students to speak out. Any student or community member can report an issue of concern by talking directly to an adult in our school or by filing an anonymous report through Sprigeo.
