Canda King

International Language

Canda King is in her 9th year of teaching, and her 11th year in education.  Her experience began when she worked as a Refugee Aide with Sudanese Refugees in Olathe, Kansas through the ELL program while working on her certification and degrees.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Kansas State University in French, then completed her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Kansas.  For 5 years, she taught in Kansas City, Kansas at the highly-ranked Sumner Academy of Arts and Science; before moving to Liberty School District.  She taught for 1 year at South Valley Junior High, then moved to Liberty High School.  This year, she spends part of the day serving ELL students at Liberty North, and then teaches French and ELL at LHS.  Ms King has taught French levels 1-3, 9th Grade English Language Arts, Etymology, ELL American Government, ELL American History, and ELL Resource.  Outside of school, she loves to run, read, spend time with her 2 sons, watch movies, and roller skate.
