All 11 of our Concert Choir vocal ensembles received "I" Superior ratings at State Solo/Ensemble Contest at Mizzou on Friday, April 26!
The South Valley Middle School 7th Grade Ladies Choirs visited Liberty High School on Monday, April 22 and presented a mini-concert for 6th Hour Women's Honor Choir.
Congratulations to all four of our LHS Choirs who received "I" Superior ratings in Performances and Sightreading at the State Vocal Music Contest Saturday, April 6!
Dr. Ian Coleman, composer and Music Department Chairman at William Jewell College visited our LHS Concert Choir rehearsal on April 10 to discuss his newly composed choral symphony "Leitourgia." The Concert Choir performed in the premier of this new composition along with the William Jewell College Choirs and the Liberty Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, April 27 at 7:30 pm at the Liberty Performing Arts Theater.

The LHS Chamber Choir had a very successful performance at the Missouri Music Educators Association 75th Anniversary Convention on Friday, January 25, 2013! This group is under the direction of Dr. Rika Heruth, and was selected by audition recording from among 200 other performing organizations state-wide to be presented in concert at the conference! We wish to thank all parents who supported their singers in so many ways, and we thank Dr. April Adams and Mr. Aaron Money who also traveled with us and assisted in ways too numerous to name!
Congratulations to the LHS Concert Choir for winning the 99.7 Christmas Choir Contest! A donation of $5,000 was presented to the LHS Vocal Music Department on January 22. Deke Sharon, musician, composer and a cappella arranger extraordinaire was here on Monday, December 10 for masterclasses/workshops with all of our LHS Choirs! He is most recently recognized as one of the arrangers for the show "The Sing-off" which featured a cappella choirs in competition.
Congratulations to the following students who were selected by audition to participate in the 2013 Missouri All-State Choir: Hanna Bruns, Ashley Stuck, Lauren Wrigley, Andi Tulipana, Chris Morgan, Turner Staton (Alternate) The students will perform with the All-State Choir at the Missouri Music Educators Conference on January 26, 2013 at Tan-Tar-A Resort.
Thank you to the Concert Choir Section Leaders who sang the National Anthem on Saturday, October 20 for the Missouri State PTA Convention in Kansas City!
Congratulations to the following students who were selected by audition to be members of the KC Metro All District Honor Choir: Abbie Schott, Andi Tulipana, Lauren Pouliot, Ashley Stuck, Lauren Wrigley, Hanna Bruns, Hans Heruth, Liam McCarroll, James O'Boyle, Turner Staton, Ian Langford, Chris Morgan. Also selected to the Women's All District Honor Choir: Sarah Andrews, Magda Bronakowska, Amy Taylor, Jessyka Vernickas.
